Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Renovo collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our coaching services and website.
Last updated: July 21, 2026
Who we are
Renovo coaching services are provided by Gerardo Sumano, trading as Renovo ("Renovo", "we", "us"). Renovo is the data controller for the personal information we collect from you. Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as an independent controller for the billing and transaction information it collects at checkout under its own privacy policy.
Information we collect
- Account and contact data — name, email address, phone number, and password.
- Intake and coaching data — information you share in intake forms, questionnaires, and coaching messages, including lifestyle goals, habits, and general wellness context.
- Support communications — messages you send us and our responses.
- Usage and device data — device type, browser, IP address, pages visited, and interactions with the site, collected through cookies and analytics.
- Payment data — collected directly by Stripe at checkout. Renovo does not store your full card details.
How we use information and our legal bases
We process personal information for the following purposes and under the following legal bases (where GDPR/UK GDPR applies):
- Providing and personalizing coaching — performance of a contract with you.
- Account creation, authentication, and messaging — performance of a contract.
- Billing, order processing, tax, and fraud prevention — performance of a contract and legal obligation; payment processing is performed by Stripe on our behalf.
- Site operation, security, and improvement — legitimate interests in running and securing our services.
- Marketing emails and newsletters — consent, which you may withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link.
- Legal compliance and defending legal claims — legal obligation and legitimate interests.
Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe collects and processes your payment card and billing information under its own Privacy Policy. Renovo receives limited transaction metadata (order id, amount, last-4 digits, billing country) but does not store your full card details.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Stripe — our payment processor, for card processing, fraud prevention, and payment-related receipts.
- Service providers and subprocessors — hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, and customer-support tooling that help us operate the service, under contracts requiring appropriate confidentiality and security.
- Professional advisers — legal, accounting, and insurance advisers where necessary.
- Authorities — where required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above:
- Account and coaching records — for the duration of your account and up to 24 months after your last coaching window ends, so we can support returning clients and answer questions.
- Billing and tax records — retained by us (and by Stripe as our processor) for at least 7 years to meet tax and accounting obligations.
- Support messages — up to 24 months after the last interaction.
- Marketing preferences — until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your record.
When retention ends, we delete or anonymize the information.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the site is used. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to manage your preferences.
Email marketing
If you opt in to our newsletter, you'll receive periodic educational emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any message.
Data security
We use appropriate technical and organizational safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege administration — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.
International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside your country of residence (for example, to service providers located in the United States), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the recipient's certification under an adequacy framework.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to the processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent at any time. Residents of the EU/UK may lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@renovohealth.co. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (typically within one month).
Children
Renovo services are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
